Can you believe this all came from MYSPACE!! Yep, I've always loved being on the computer,
and I've always had a natural crave for art, but this all came about becuz of Tom, thanks!!
I joined myspace about a year or two ago, can't remember exactly. It wasnt long before I
started changing up my layout on my page, and adding pictures, and stuff like that. And once
I finally learned how to make my own layouts, oh my, I was always changing my page haha.
Then one day I started looking around on other people's sites. I think the first website I truly
loved was stardust-designs. There were some more that I constantly checked on, but I can't remember which
ones now. I read someone's tutorial, I wish I could remember that atleast, and she had a very long, step by
step tutorial on exactly HOW to start your own site. With tons of tips, and resources. That's where
my Butterfly Effectz came from...
I'm a wicked perfectionist, and when I want something, I want it now! So I didn't even bother joining a free
website host. I didnt even both learning HTML, as crazy as that sounds. I went on and joined Go Daddy, which
I completely hated, bought a domain name, www.butterflyeffectz.com, and quickly moved to Homestead. Homestead was
awesome cuz they had a website builder, and everything was basically drag and drop. So I didnt need to learn
too much HTML. YAY!! That website lasted about... hmm... maybe 3 months. And that was back in September of 2005.
Then I shut it down cuz I didn't feel like paying the $20 a month, and back then I was going back
and forth between free trials for paint programs anyways.
I kindof gave up the whole website idea for awhile. But continuted making layouts and stuff for people.
Then a few months ago, I tried out Freewebs, but didn't do so well there, then joined on Angelfire.
I actually liked it there. Found it easy to fanangle, etc. Added a seperate myspace to get attention to my
website " Jazzy Jazz Layouts " and I was so excited to see my hit counter going up a few hundred each day!!
For a web owner thats like wicked exciting :)
Anyways, Then one day, I just so happened to pass PreciousJewel.evangelove. com,
and I loved it. I notices she (Brittany) was a part of the Evangelove family, and I thought it was so cool.
Me and Brittany ended up talking online one day, and she told me I should apply to be hosted with Evangelove.
So the next day I gave it a shot and she said yes!! Then I had to learn FTP. It took Brittany like a week or two
(while she neglected her site) helping me with mine. She coded my first layout, thanks <33 And she tought me
everything I need to know about FTP and I had already learned HTML, so I was all set. Now here I am, about a month
or two into my website. I dropped the LAYOUTS part of Jazzy Jazz, becuz now I offer a whole lot of stuff,
not just for myspace, but for web owners as well. I got a partner, Mandi, who didnt know anything about HTML,
but I tought her how to make layouts, and she did an awesome job. I just recently cut her out ONLY becuz
I felt as though she didnt have enough time for the site, and I've been putting many hours and creative
things into it, I really wanted full credit, I love this site, its my baby. But I am really sorry, and
she may even still be mad, but she is still a part of the Jazzy Jazz Myspace, and a cool friend...so...
The End, but if youre interested in knowing. I have passed on the gift of giving. I just recently told someone else
to apply at Evangelove for hosting, and she's been accepted. I showed HER how to use FTP, and helped her a little
with her site, and now she is a part of the family too!! Hope you enjoyed reading up on the history of my site!
Peace out and God bless ya!! <333
As of September 18, 2006 I officially resigned from Evangelove.com family. I just felt as though I put so much
time and effort into my site that I did not want to go by someone else's rules. I am working towards getting
a paid host and hosting others within the next few months. Me and Terrianne from Evangelove still talk, and
are sister/affie sites. It was nothing personal, except I wanted different things for my site, than where it
would have gone through her hosting. I signed up with freewebservices.net for the time being, and everything is
great.
PS- If youre wondering how the site got it's name, I have a baby Rat Terrier named Jazmine Buttercup, we call her Jazzy!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxxx
